Welcome and thank you for taking the time to look at our online store.

My name is Johnie Arrowood and we are located in Old Hickory, Tennessee, the home of President Andrew Jackson. I am married to Judith and we will be celebrating our 46th wedding anniversary in March. We met in the 4th grade, but I moved to another school district at the end of that year. Then we met again in the 9th grade where we started dating and eventually got married the year after high school. We have two lovely daughters, and two of the best sons-in-law that we could have hand picked. Together, they have give us eight wonderful grandchildren, ages ranging from five to 18.

My back ground is in insurance where I retired from Allstate in 1997, after 30 years. Right before I retired Judi and I were blessed to be able to start a food and clothing ministry at our church, giving us the opportunity to share the love of Jesus. With God's blessings and many wonderful volunteers, the ministry took off and we were serving up to seven hundred people a month within a very short time. The ministry continues to help hundreds of people.

I have always owned some type of business, even while I was working in insurance. That is the reason I have started "Unique Home Furnishings." My passion is owning and managing my own business! I have always believed that the Internet has given anyone the greatest opportunity of all times to own their own business.

When I began to consider opening and online store, I had a very limited knowledge, but the desire to learn. With the help of one of my daughters and a course about how to start and run an online business, I struck out. How did I select "Unique Home Furnishings?" With my wife's favorite TV show being HGTV and seeing and hearing that most of the day, I started to realize the opportunities to help people find those unique items they may be searching for. What I have done is search for those items that are unique and will help make a statement about your home.
